Happy Anniversary Rick and Heather

Today is Rick and Heather's 4th anniversary. Where does the time go. They are as happy today as they were the day they got married. The both have good jobs, they are building a house and will make it their home. Congratulations to you both on your wonderful life. Did I say I was still thinking pink.
Today I talked with Jim's kidney doctor. He says that his creatin and bun numbers have come down but the GFR is still not good according to Sunday's 24 hour urine test. It is a 5 and that is the point that they put people on dialysis permanently. He is not sure of this though. He says they also look at urine output and they want it to be between 500 and 1000 cc's consistently. Jim has started to do this. Today they backed off on the amount of fluid they are taking off of him in dialysis. He wants to see what Jim does as far as output on his own. Then on Sunday they are going to do another 24 hour urine. If his number improve they will keep watching him. If the numbers do not improve they are going to move the input site to a different position that could possibly be permanent. He's not ready to do this yet so we are hoping for better numbers.
Jim did not tolerate being off the vent today. He was to tired and just wanted to sleep so we let him. I had group therapy today and that is always good for me. Sometimes it's good to find that I am not the only one going through this and that others understand my plight. It was great to talk to Teresa today. She is such a wonderful listener. I love you Teresa. It is always the best to talk to Jack. How can you be sad when that little voice tells you he loves you. I have played the message from Josh 4 times already. It's like he's here. Love you three little boys.
