Jessica Spraque has just completed her birthday week of challenges. I am already a week behind. I just completed the first challenge layout. Her free class starts next week so I only have a few days to complete her challenges. Watch for the rest later in the week.

Using My Stash

I have been intent on using my scraps lately. So when Two Peas started the nine weeks of Tim Holtz techniques I thought this would be a great time to use my scraps.

The tags are from week one. One uses a mask. Another uses blending and the last one is a water resist stamping technique.

Two of the cards use embossed paper flowers to make them really pop. The last card uses a hibiscus stamp with double stamping with distress inks.

Now much else going on this week. I played bridge on Tuesday and we came in Fourth. I've gone to water aerobics every day and bingo last night. Trying to stay cool. Monday the heat index was 107. And to think I complained when it was 20 degrees in Chicago.

Miscellaneous Layouts

These are just some miscellaneous layouts. The first one is of my sisters and our dad. The next one is of the class I took with Tweety Jill Publications. Then one of Jim and I on that great cruise we took. The last one is of Jack Chiszar, Lucas Chiszar, and Joshua Chiszar hanging out at grandma's house when it was still allowed.

New pool weights.

I just used my new pool weights at exercise class. Wow what a difference. I have sure my arms are going to hurt tomorrow. I only used the arm weights. The weights weigh nothing out of the water but in the water they are about a ton. Tomorrow I'll try the leg weights. The pool temp today was 89 degrees. We really need some rain to cool down the pool.

I think I lost some letters from the first layout. Enjoy.

All About Donald

I've gotten quite a few layouts done this month. I thought I would group together by subject. These are all about Donald. My favorite is the money layout. Love you.

All is fine here. I have a busy week planned. Went to the doctor today and had my B12 shot and annual EKG after water aerobics. We have a pool party here on Wednesday and then I'm playing bridge on Friday. Plus the normal activities bingo, pool and cropping at Terry's on Friday.

Happy Birthday Joshua Chiszar

I am posting this on the eve of your birthday. Tomorrow you will be 4 years old and I wish I were there to give you a great big grandma hug. I know you would just giggle because you love those hugs that lift you off your feet.

I hope you have the best birthday ever and I want you to know Joshua Chiszar that I love you and if your parents would let me I would be there to wish you happy birthday in person.

Catching up on layouts

Here are the layouts I finished in May. Now on to June.

Enjoying the Summer

Summer is not even here yet and it is already over 90 degrees. It will be this way until October. I already hate the heat. This morning I went to the pool for water exercises and it was already way to hot. I don't know how the people spend then entire afternoon out there. Me I just want to stay inside from noon until dark. Anyone else feel this way.

I played bridge yesterday and we did pretty well. 2nd in the section and 4th overall. Not bad for me since I have not been playing much but home to get more time in at the bridge table. This Saturday I'm playing in a special game which should be fun.

I'm been scrapping with friends so I have a lot of pages to post. I'll get caught up with that over the next week. Been having fun with some Tim Holtz techniques and that has been a hoot.
